I've been looking for a very compact double-stack nine for CC. I went to the show looking for a Ruger American Compact (too heavy/wide) or the Ruger SR9C (ergos didn't work for me). I handled several others at the show including the Walter P99c AS. I liked the P99, but preferred the ergos of the PPQ (out of my budget at the time). At the time, I commented on my desire for a compact PPQ, now, it appears to be a reality, jumping to near the top of my wish list.
The Sig P365 looks interesting, sucks about the propitiatory rail though. Might give you the things you're looking for about the same size as a G43 but 10rd.

The mag's are all made by mecgar, the 20 and 18rd mag's are the same except the 20's use mecgar's +2 extended floor plate, the Elite 15 and 17rd mags only work in the Elite and like the 18-20 mags use the same exact +2 base to make the 15rd mag 17rd. All the parts seem interchangable other then the Elite mag bodies being to short for the non elite pistols.
Now the metal framed Caniks like stingray and shark or their tristar imported counterparts use CZ75 mag's.
Sent cajun gunworks an email. I get the itch for a suppressed something or other every so often and always back off when I start adding up the cost.
Know the feeling, I have a 9mm suppressor but only a couple handguns to run it on, was close to buying barrel and suppressor height sights for my SA but after adding up costs decided I would rather just buy a suppressor ready P-07.

I don't think Tristar has threaded barrels for them, if a CZ barrel will work in the 120 then thats the way you'd probably have to go. Might get a quicker answer if they'll fit over on the CZ Forums www.czfirearms.us/
$400 isnt a bad price, you can do better online but factor in FFL fee and you'll save maybe $10-15(I think $369 was cheapest i've ever saw elite online) if your FFL is cheap. Of course got to add tax's to the $400 one.
Quick search of usual cheap places online no deals going on that I see $409 cheapest.

No BUG, in the past when I use to do some P/T security work I would occasionally depending on event I was working. But never saw the need for one doing normal day to day stuff. Plus in the summer I'm already only carrying a G42 often, what do you use as a BUG to a G42? NAA Derringer I guess.
oh yeah, i don't use on my krylon cammo hunting guns, and i have brought back painted guns to original with just brake cleaner and a little scrubbing. it will not hurt cerakote, but will damage duracoat. all in all, if you are careful around areas you don't want deep cleaned, you are good to go. just a little squirt will do you, i just wish it did not evaporate so quickly, maybe last another 30 seconds!!
Yeah I dont use it on my hunting and precision stuff, great for cleaning up old milsurp rifles packed with cosmoline, or for cleaning up after shooting corrosive ammo or dirty steel cased ammo.
I'm a bit apprehensive about the rachet belts though. I'm interested, but having to drop that much money on a belt, I would rather get one I know I'll like instead of experimenting with a new design.
I like the ratchet I wasnt sure about it at first, and some others I seen aren't as good as the Kore, a alot of belts you'll cut to size then insert the cut part inside the buckle some dont grip it well and if you tug hard enough the buckle will slide off the Kore has big spikes that go all the way into the belt it wont slip.
Motor Oil has always worked for me. Dino or Synthetic, all the same, my guns love those, and my search for the perfect oil ended there many years ago.
Mobil 1 0w-20 seems to work well, though haven't used it much on pistols, I mostly use it on my AK type rifles, cause cleaning them basically consists of hosing them down with brake cleaner, running the bore snake through then applying mobil 1 to needed areas.
My palmetto state lower / Karri's guns upper AR9 is an absolute blast and has become one of my top two favorite guns to shoot (along with my TP9SFx).
The Ruger offering looks horrid.
PSA ran a promo today for their complete finished AR9 with a 4" barrel at $499 out the door.
I was looking at that PSA special for awhile today it was very tempting but already have Scorpion Evo for my 9mm carbine, well braced pistol for now, and I need to finish gathering parts to finish my PA10 off.
Best way to go about it is getting the lower out of the way first. I just buy stripped lowers and then wait for deals. I have sportsmans guide, jgsales, primary arms, cheaper than dirt, aero, psa, Anderson etc etc email alerts.
I set up a lower the way I like it and then I'll try out other caliber dedicated uppers. Even with my ar15s I have 1-2 lowers for several dedicated uppers
I normally build my lowers as well for AR's, this is my first .308 AR for the extra $60 I figured it's worth getting it complete for now, with the PSA AR10's some of the lower parts are propitiatory, later on I'll swap out the trigger group, throw a Magpul PRS stock on when I see a good sale on them.
Agree when it comes to AR's though my only factory lower is from my first AR 20 years ago, a Bushmaster very few original parts left on it though. Rest of my lowers were stripped Anderson, PSA or Spikes.
I finally got time to work on it last night and I've beat both my nylon punches to death.
Even in the vice with a bigger hammer it didn't do the job. I called it quits and worked on other projects.
I may just resort to the brass punches, tape everything off but I don't want to ruin the front sight. The rear is a goner for sure but it's crazy accurate as it sits. Just in case for any reason the hiviz front doesn't work out I can swap back to it and replace the light pipes on the hiviz rear.
Thinking about getting the luminous pipes but for now the c100 just goes to the range. The hiviz pipes don't really shine indoors and of course OCD gets triggered lol.
I've heard using a heat gun can help with the sights on tristars.
Guess the clones, like the real CZ's can have tight as hell tolerances, more then once my little gunsmithing hammer has failed to do the job and had to beat the shit out of my CZ with the big ass rubber mallet when I changed out some parts.
I've been wanting to invest in a PA10 for awhile now. I've been seeing the deals on the lowers. Wish I had the funds.
Lower is the cheapest part really, probably be 2 months more before I have a functioning rifle, going to do BCG and CH by the weekend, reading up on the 308 ones leaning towards AIM over PSA $180 for and $60ish for decent ambi CH. Upper I'm still going back and forth if I want to build or buy a complete one, likely will buy an inexpensive one for now and start collecting parts for a real precision build upper.
I have the aero m5e1 upper and handguard with a bear creek 18" barrel on a psa10 lower. I do not have an optic for it yet but zeroed with some back up sights and tested for function.
Worked fine with 10 and 20 round pmag, and the dpms 25 round mag. That's all I have. I know the dpms 308 doesn't like the pmags, and that was a concern of mine as well. Fortunately I didn't have any. This is my first ar10 build but I've never had issues with a psa lower
The one budget entry level complete upper I got from psa though made me cringe. Just the sound of the bcg alone triggered my OCD. Very gritty! I got one because I wanted no forward assist on a dedicated cmmg 22 upper. Fired one mag with 556 and threw up a little. Other than lowers and 1 upper I don't have any other psa parts.
I've read mixed reviews on some of the uppers being gritty some recent reviews say they improved, don't know how true that is. I've 2 5.56 uppers I've bought from PSA one premium and one freedom neithers gritty maybe its the PSA BCG's bought them no bcg/ch and put in AIM BCG's. Mag's reliableness also seems to vary some people say pmags dont work good others say they're great, that why I went with a few different types to try out.
I'll check out the aero uppers, not sure if I'll buy prebuilt or build the first upper for guess it's going to depend if PSA restocks ones I want anytime soon.
