Steel matches are one of the best to observe and participate in because they rely on basic fundamentals.
I second this. I take my newer students to steel matches not to make them fast, but to create opportunity for them to try target transitions, different target sizes and distances, and a focus on safe handling techniques. Of course it as also great to be involved in a shooting community that is supportive and assistive on the range.
Hey y'all! I've had the SFx for about 6 months now and been on the Canik Fanatik FB group a ton, but only lightly perused this forum until recently. I'm currently living in St George Utah. My girlfriend and I love the Canik I have and can't wait to expand the collection. I am a competitive shooter and firearms instructor as a side job, that I hope to make more full time in the near future. I have a YouTube channel called 'Path of Life' that I use to do gun and gear reviews and vlog the adventures that my family and I go on. I'm happy to be here and a part of this great community!

I have considered the SFL for a limited division gun (backup gun), but also find it curious that it doesn't come with the +2's (although I have the +2's from my SFx mags as I now have +4's on them). I have a friend that is considering one as a duty pistol though, and for that it makes sense I suppose. It'll be interesting to see if it sticks around.
Couple brain farts not sticking with my pattern, forgetting targets, and need to remember not to lower pistol so much when reloading, and count bullets better but I'm still working on it. Here is the video for your entertainment. I'm not Frank the Tank, but still had a great time.
First off, thanks for sharing, and I'd say that the best part is that you came away with things to work on, and you recognize them. Now you can focus your dry fire and range time on these take away's, to prevent/improve them a bit for the next match. I love watching the videos of me shooting matches, not because I'm all that great, but it tells me the things I can work on so I'm not just spending money at the range to keep making the same mistakes. Keep your videos coming, friend!
Very well done sir! I have one of the medium sized of these Harbor Freight boxes as my range box for my SFx and competition gear. Love it, but hadn't thought to plasti dip it. I should try that out one of these days. Thanks!
