These pics are not great. Basically the Catamount is a Chinese built Century imported Saiga clone. I got this one for $450 NIB and it came with 5 5rd mags. Century sells 10rd factory mags too...just bought a couple of those and haven't tried it yet.
Its got adjustable gas system for light loads and high brass loads. Lead shot only in a Catamount. It's got a small rail under the barrel and I've put a little pistol light on it. Hinged dust cover with a built in rail.
These are a little rougher finished than a Saiga and I did have to slick up the action to get it to run smoothly. I'm an AK guy from way back so it was no trouble for me. First picture is with factory buttstock.

Nice, I have one of the original saiga's from when they first came in, have toyed with the idea of picking up the 12 gauge ak Academy sells, its not a saiga but will take saiga stick mags, the magwell prevents drums from locking in though.

I did the conversion on my saiga myself, got it back when they first came in I paid either $299 or $399 back then, then like another $150 on the parts to put the pistol grip on. The VEPR's are very nice handled a couple, and have a .308 VEPR, dont think I'd buy one at todays prices have seen them selling for $1500+ with folding stocks and railed hand guards.
When I bought my Saiga it was 425 OTD. I got out of my beloved Mosins last year, kept all my ammo and bought a VEPR in 7.62x54r.
Love Love Love my Vepr. It was not cheap though at 899.
Congrats on doing the conversion yourself. I'm not that ballsy with a Saiga. I have built two AKs from scratch - one was a screw build and the other was a weld build. Cant bring myself to start dremeling and drilling my high dollar stuff lol

Nice if they weren't so pricey I'd have a 54r vepr to go with my x51, debated on the two have a ton 54r ammo but figured I'd get the best accuracy with off the shelf ammo going the 7.62x51 route. Conversion too hard, the kit I got came with a template so knew exactly where to drill.
