Has anyone tried to use this ammo in a semi auto gun? I have used with my revolver with no problems, but have not tried to use on my semi automatic. Just wondering if it produces enough pressure to rack the slide and load. It does live up to it's name, through my revolver I doubt if I would even need hearing protection, but it does seem kind of weak.
I've read that it's not recommended for semi-auto guns due to the lack of power. I've used in in my Henry 22lr lever action without issue. It's great for dispatching varmint discretely. But ya, I've never shot it in a semi. If you do, let us know how it cycles. I personally prefer mini-mags in my semi-auto guns.

Wont cycle most semiautos. However woth a 10/22 you can get a new recoil spring from KIDD made to funtion with subsonic rounds. I bought their charging handle and it came with three springs. Subsonic, standard and hyper velocity.
Currently I have a Beretta M9-22, the cci quiet won't even budge the slide, but the mini mags work great. I don't think they have any lighter springs available. Have tried Federal and Amscor rounds, for the most part they will work, just get a fail to eject from time to time. I guess it's the nature of the 22 ammo.

I've never heard of cci 22 quiet... is this ammo sub sonic? I've heard that a lot of guns have problems cycling the action with that type of ammo. I have not personally used sub ammo just what I've heard.
